Worms Open Warfare

I have now identified the next Nintendo DS game that I will purchase, Worms Open Warfare. I am a huge fan of the Worms turn based strategy game series. It even ran great on my old 233 mhz system.

Now back in the traditional 2d style that I loved so much, it's coming to the Nintendo DS. I cant wait to see what they do with the touchscreen, especially regarding weapon selection. It's going to be great. Now I just wish we could have Starcraft and Lemmings for the DS as well.

It looks awesome. THe split screen should be very compatible for it's style of game play.

I like how its organized too, overall map and inventory on the second screen. It's gonna be good..

I hope it supports DS download play, so that you can play with others without them having the cartridge.

Wow, does this bring me back. Worms entertained me since my P166 days. And before that...remember Gorillas in BASIC? :)

I gotta look up those games again. I'm pretty sure I'm horrible at them now. You know what really rocked? Scorched Earth. It had Quake and all the others beat by a decade with hilarious death announcements.

Maybe there's a version for PocketPC...

yea, taunting was definately present in the gorillas.bas game, where the monkey would dance when the enemy was defeated.
