XJ under the knife

Safari 88 under the knife

Safari 88 (my grey XJ) is currently up on jack stands at a friends house. The front axle basically came apart on me due to lack of proper maintenence.

To be quite honest, i'm pretty lucky to be alive considering how badly it was damaged during the time i was riding around on it. Driving down the interstate like that is mega spooky, and I didnt even know that the front hubs and pinion seal and u joints and brakes were all about to break at once.

I hope to be back up and running by this weekend, but we will definately see.

The red jeep is really running like crap. I really need the grey jeep to be finished so I can have some downtime for the red one to get some proper maintenence.

Applying or removing CSS styles via firefox extension... or browsing myspace without seizure

StyleSheet Chooser Plus is an amazing extension for Mozilla Firefox 2.x. It lets you select what CSS is applied to a page when you view it, and more importantly remembers that setting the next time you view the page.

For browsing MySpace.com it's a lifesaver, since it lets you tune out the overstyled pages that have become so common there. Now one small hickup, since it remembers the styling based on the domain, it doesnt let you have individual settings to filter out just certain myspace pages. It is however very fast to turn off and on, so you can only use it when you need it.

Combine it with a good flashblock plugin to keep a million flash embeds from loading at once, and your myspace life is now vastly improved.

My cat pissed on my shoes

In the ultimate display of frustration, my cat peed on my shoes near the door.

Here I am in the living room, assembling a brand new automatic self cleaning litterbox system for the kitty, and he's pissed that i'm messing with his domain. You see, the kitty claims the living room as his home. It's all his. When we bought new couches, he shat in front of the TV. When we cover the floor with little tiny plastic pieces, shrink wrap, and even worse crinkly packing materials he just had enough.

He walked over to my shoes, waited until I was watching, and pissed in them.

OpenSuSE?

I was browsing around on opensuse.org after reading about iFolder (a file sharing system), and I saw that you can download a non time limited evaluation of SuSE Linux 10 without charge from the opensuse website.

It might be worth my checking out, since the support for packages for iFolder on SuSE seems pretty decent. I will know more as I move forward.

Boorito Sighting! scary Chipotle Photos!

For those of you who eat at Chipotle, the most excellent burrito factory, this Photo is for you.

I was at Chipotle, getting my free burrito, with my Chipotle t-shirt on, because every halloween they set you up with a free burrito if you come in dressed as a burrito. For most people I have heard this simply involves wearing a bit of aluminum foil. I thought for sure that they'd let me slide if I just wore my powered by Chipotle T-Shirt right? They did, but what I saw there that evening truly humbled me.

The first and most magestic, is Chipotle Man:

The second was "Crazy Space Hat and Space Eyes Man"

Even more odd was the frigteningly similar two kings. Note the evil henchman in the orange shirt in the background.

Napoleon Booritomite was out in full force:

Truly, chipotle was a wild place this evening. I even saw a turtle (unfortunately only teenage, not mutant or ninja) made out of a green jumpsuit, a hot chick, and a shell made of cardboard wrapped in foil. I hesitated to take a photo for fear i'd creep her out.
