Cirque: Delirium

I just minutes ago caught the live show Delirium by Cirque Du Soleil. It was utterly amazing. I am speachless.

This show relies on a beautiful mix of prerecorded visuals and live stage performance to send you on a two hour journey through different musical styles. My favorite part was the stuff set to an electronic dance beat, but everything was good.

I cant explain how awesome it was, go to the link I posted and check out some sample tracks. Then go see it live.

Orlandoweekly.com 's description was a bit more detailed.

The tickets were rather pricey, much in agreement there.

I do however feel it was worth it. I would have paid more if I could have had better seats. I was in the second level in the stadium. It did make it easier however for me to see more of the stage at once.

Hey,

Glad you enjoyed the show. I am going to go next week and wanted to ask what you think the best seating location would be? To the side? Up high? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks, Bryan (my e-mail is: bvanvran@hotmail.com)

Bryan,

I thought i was going to dislike sitting on the second level up high, but it really gave me an awesome view of the rather wide stage and screen area. I had some friends who sat really close to the stage and it was definately a different (but not neccesarily worse or better) experience. They caught more of the live performance aspect, where I got more of the prerecorded visual overaly over the live performance. If I could have afforded it I'd probably try to see it from both places.

The stage is so incredibly wide that the far away seats are still great since they project images accross the entire stage.

I hope you enjoy the performance, some hard core cirque fans didnt like it, but I think it's wonderful, and do not feel that the use of prerecorded visuals was somehow less meaningful than their normal performances, since their use of them so carefully tied with what was happening on stage.
